The year 2000 marked the beginning of an exciting new era
of health education with the launch of Notre Dame
University's fifth college, The College of Health and with
this, the beginning of a partnership with
FMC Australia.
Notre Dame University saw a genuine need to approach the
care of people in a whole new light. In response to this
need, the College of Health introduced degrees in Nursing,
Counselling and Applied Psychology. This amalgamation of
three different yet complementary streams of health
education sets the College of Health apart from programs
currently offered in Western Australia.
To cater for the new College of Health,
FMC Australia assisted Notre
Dame through the medium of a capital fundraising campaign.
The money raised assisted with the conversion of the century
old Challenge Bank Building in Fremantle into a
state-of-the-art learning facility.
