Like all organisations, Iona strives for improvement. Iona prides itself on providing their young women with holistic learning, bringing out the best in their students academically, culturally, spiritually and in the sporting arena.

In 2002, FMC Australia undertook a capital fundraising campaign for Iona Presentation College, to raise capital funds to build a multi-purpose Recreation Centre in their College grounds in Mosman Park, Western Australia.

The proposed Recreation Centre will add an impressive new dimension to an already outstanding educational program at Iona. It will incorporate a multi-purpose gymnasium, courts, weights/circuit area, change area, staff offices, undercover parking, four new state-of-the-art classrooms and a seminar facility.

The Iona capital fundraising campaign "Building for our Children" was very successful in terms of fundraising and "friendraising" for Iona being well-received by the Iona community. Many new friendships were made and old ones rekindled. More than 50 volunteers gave their generous time and effort, contacting as many people as possible in the Iona Community, inviting them to be part of this exciting stage of development at Iona.
